Younger brother of fellow A-Team Sports athlete Chris, former Australian Under 20s and Queensland Reds star UJ Seuteni has signed with European giants Toulon.
First recruited by then Queensland Reds coach Ewen McKenzie in 2012, UJ was signed as a 17 year old schoolboy prodigy. The mercurial playmaker who can play 10, 12 or 15 was hampered by injury through the 2013 season and was unable to crack the match day 23. When the opportunity came up to join Toulon, UJ jumped at it; “To be joining Toulon is an opportunity too good to turn down, with the likes of Leigh Halfpenny, Matt Giteau, Fred Michelak and especially Johnny Wilkinson now as a coach there they have always been the type of player I have aspired to be so i’m just looking forward to picking up some pointers from them and knuckling down and working hard to contribute in the best way possible for the team”.
UJ will be joining, arguably, the worlds’ most talented and experienced playing roster and we look forward to seeing his career progress over the next couple of years in France.
