Pettowa Paraka Signs Elite Development Contract with the Qld Reds

Damaging loosehead prop Pettowa Paraka has signed with the Queensland Reds for 2015.

Having played Australian schoolboys in 2011 and Australian Under 20s in 2012 and 2013, there is no questioning Pettowa’s pedigree. Joining the Reds in 2015 is just the next step to a very promising career.

The elite development squad will be overseen by Paul Carozza in his role as program coordinator and the addition of 2014 GPS title-winning coach Jason Gilmore of Anglican Church Grammer School, who will be the head coach of the program.

The Reds Elite Development squad is an initiative by Queensland Rugby designed to ensure the Reds retain the best talent the state has to offer. Those in the squad, which will train mostly with the Reds Under 20s and Wider Training Squad, are expected to be the next crop of Reds stars.
